    Hi,
I just bought my sixth motorcycle which is a 1982 maxim 750. It has 29,000 miles and runs excellent. I noticed it didn't have a right side cover/ battery cover, etc. everyone calls it something different. If you have one for sale and are in the usa for a decent price I can paypal the money asap.
    thanks,
scuba # (920)-681-0000 is my company cellphone.

@Retread. I'd love to know how you made that side cover. Material, how it's attached etc. If that is the picture of the cover you made in your gallery it looks great. I've got my 650 side covers but I'd love to have the 750 style. I think they look cooler and I replaced the engine making my 650 a 750. If i could make em I'd happily sell the left and right 650 covers.

That is the cover I made, have finished it better since taking that pic with glazing putty and repainted.Made it from 1 1/4 rigid closed cell structural foamboard.[old street sign I scrounged for free]It can be worked like wood, but easier. You can probably get it from a sign supply. It's held on with an L bracket to the original frame pin and a locknutted machine screw to the original threaded lug on the bottom.Thats the hole you see towards the bottom. The triangle shaped piece[like the original] is shaped out of plastic and screwed on to the foam as is the L bracket.A small piece of black rubber tubing keeps the L bracket snug on the pin. It's secure and can be removed in less than a minute.Use the left cover for the size and shape, take your time, you can do it.Don't know if 650 covers mount the same way.

Good work man, I'd have never thought to use foam board. The 650 covers have these nipples that push into rubber grommets on the frame. They hold pretty well I've never had them fall out but apparently I'm the lucky that way.

Out of curiosity (not ready to sell), what kinda price range is reasonable for eBay and/or here?

My "parts" bike has a red pair with warning stickers in good shape...

Sounds like the same as the 750.[have that on the left cover and a bolt]You can snicker at using foamboard, but it's tough stuff.

Hi there, does anyone know where I can find replacement grommets for the side covers? I'm missing a few and the rest are on their way out...
    Thank you!
