81 XJ750R gas tank swap?

    I am trying to decide if i should go with frisco style or peanut tank on my 81 XJ750. Before i purchase another tank i wanted some input on wether it would work for the bike. will i be able to get rid of the fuel pump completely and will it work, just seeing if ill get enough fuel PSI with out the pump and it be able to run correctly?

    Unless your bike is a turbo I don't think these have pumps.... I could be wrong.

    It has a connection to the wiring harness, but now that i think about it it could just be the tank level indicator. i have an extra tank from a 550 as well with 2 petcocks, ill try that before i decide to buy an aftermarket

    If it comed from the left side of the tunnel its a level sender.
