Im pretty sure i know the answer im going to get, but while ive been waiting for parts (bucket retainer and gaskets ect.) i had my carbs all apart, cleaned and synced BEFORE adjusting the valves. Now i know everybody here will tell me im doing it in the wrong order, but i wanted to do SOMETHING on it. So my question is, will i have to do it all over again after i get the valves set?

idk if im right but i believe a bench sync whenever is fine to do. its just a rough way of getting in the right direction with carb settings. Now if you did a vacuum sync before valves, then you would have to do it over again

    Not the bench sync, no.

The valves need to be in spec to get a good running vacuum sync. They need to be in spec before you make the final, on-bike running adjustments.

If you got the carbs back on the bike and managed to get it all sync'ed up then yes, you'd need to re-do the vacuum sync after adjusting the valves.
