Hey all yoose guys out there tinking of Bobbering yall's XJ650/750s.....I've got a rare fork brace that allows yoose guys to take off the structural fender. If you know it or not, the fender on the older Yamaha bikes play the role of the lower fork brace. On later bikes ,this isn't the case. The lower brace is a structural piece that attaches to the sliders and the fender is usually plastic and attaches in various ways, but, are not structural. I 've got my hands on 2 nice looking aftermarket braces that attach above the fender and directly to the sliders on the XJ750 and maybe the XJ650. THe question is , I don't know if it is a Yamaha aftermarket accessory or a private label part. I've seen it on some of the bike pics of Maxims and Secas here on the XJ Bikes site. I know it's rare, cause I can't find it anywhere on the internet for sale, other than the pics. I've got one for sale on EBay and I'm getting q's on who made it. Love for anyone to fill me in....especially if it is strutural enough to run it without the stock fender. Got to believe it is....especially if you lock it down with Locktite Red.. I've got 2 XJs and they both have these braces. I'm Bobbering out one and parting out the other. I love these bikes....I also have a VMax and a cherry FZX700 Fazer. I love the Yamies!! Also have a multi trophy winning chopper VStar. Please help the old man out with some XJ history.

    Probably not a "factory" piece.

    How about some pics?
