I'm loving the seat. Looks comfortable. How's it feel?

Were you able to do the seat with the stock pan?

Does that shape keep you from sliding onto the tank at every intersection?

Its not any stock feelin seat simply because it has half of the padding but its still nice. I havent ridden it too far yet but it seems to do the job. Yes that is the stock seat pan.

Your picture is a bit angled so it's hard for me to tell for sure, but it looks like from the side you've got a curved profile that comes down the tank, into the seat and then rises over the fender and reverses back down. A very sensual shape.

I don't understand most of the mods, I'm a big fan of stock. With that seat though you've really caught my eye. Bravo.

Well the ignition wasnt really supposed to happen but I decided to break the stock one when I was working on some other things. I looked for an oem replacement but couldnt find one for cheap so I went to the local parts store and bought a general ignition and made a new mounting bracket.
The stock blinkers just looked horrific on it so I took them off and replaced them with some ones off of my moms Sportster. Couldnt find any better place to mount them so....
The stock handlebars.... well they had to go I coulnt even ride the bike like that.

I'm REALLY liking what you did to the seat. I wish the blasted seat pans weren't wide at the rear so you could get more of a "gunfighter" look.

Nice pics. I also like the seat with it's more fluid lines now.

Can't help but notice that you have what appears to be "fresh" burnout wear on your rear tire in the first couple of pics. :)

Weird to see someone elses bike with a rear tire branded like mine gets some days...

Stunning bike! What kind of pipes are those? I'm not a huge fan of the huge cannisters on my '85 XJ Maxim X, tenatively looking for possible replacements, any ideas?

Did the 650 have the square handle bars originally? How did you modify them? Do you lean over the tank much and how comfortable is it with the foot pegs in "stock" position? Has anyone ever modified the seat to a single seater? Any pics?

I have the stock handlebars but have never riden it with them on. I just went to the local motorcycle shop and bought a pair of drag bars and put them on. I dont really lean over the tank but I dont sit entirely straight up either. With the footpegs in the stock location it feels alright in town but I would use the passenger footpegs if I was going on the road. That really sounds funny since they are actually located further back but I like the way it feels.
