1981 XJ550 Parts

Here's the list so far. Keep in mind. I just pulled these off this weekend, so I haven't had any time to clean anything up yet, etc. I haven't posted them on eBay yet either. Thought I'd give the amigos here first shot.

Blinkers



I can't remember what this box is called but it sits behind the seat and has the rubber straps that hold the seat in place, etc. Comes with it's key of course.



Rear fender...Really surprised how good shape this is in. Brake lights and all. You of course would not get the license plate, I kinda need that!




If you haven't seen my original thread, I have a complete parts bike, so one of the sissy bars is from the parts bike. Also I'll post more parts from that bike as I get a chance. Of course if you need anything specific let me know.

Tank. I'm sad about this. The paint was almost perfect until I left a rag on it last night that had GAS on it! UGH! I soooo know better! Now the paint is peeling on the side as in the picture. However, the tank is dent free and in great shape! Has a little surface rust on the inside.

Have the left controls in good shape?

 

The controls on the running bike are great but I may be keeping those. Haven't decided yet. I'll check the parts bike when I get home tonight and pm you. Thanks!

 

Would engine side covers off maxim work on a seca? If so let me know what you want for them. thanks Mike

 

What do you want for the front fender, side covers, and handle bars? And I might be interested in the seat too, depends on the price of everything I already asked about.

Ok amigos, just updated the first post. There are a few items pending sale. I haven't torn into the second bike much yet, so I'll have more fenders and other parts available soon. I don't know amigo. If you measure your mounting points, I can measure mine as well. I have the one without the back rest on it. still available. It's the one that was mounted to the purple bike. Instead of the rest, it had the storage box that it backed up against. That's still available too.

What do you still have available? I'm interested in the front pegs, chain guard, tank and airbox, if you still have them. Willing to ship to the UK? :-D

My 550 has a leaky tank, which we only discovered after lovingly patching, filling, priming and painting the damned thing. :-(

 

I am looking for a good front brake caliper, a working front master cyl. And a stock rear wheel.

Have any of those left?

 

If someone takes the gas tank, I'll gladly take the gas cap and key!
