Figured I'd share my on-going project with you guys. This site has been very helpful. Bought this bike for a dollar per cc....not running. I've dumped alot of time/money into getting this thing on the road but it's been worth it. Lots of learning experiences....Still a work in progress but anyway, here is my wannabe cafe maxim.

Love the custom taillight... looks great.

Where did you get your mufflers? and what do you think of them? My megaphones need replacement, and I like the look of those...

They are Emgo shorty mufflers. A good bit louder than stock but quieter than previous straight pipes...

yeah, I ran straight pipes for a few months, and lost a lot of power in the lower rpms, otherwise I liked the noise...

How do you find the performance after adding the mufflers?

The low rpm power will still be diminished compared to stock mufflers. The shorty mufflers are a straight through design with removeable baffles.

How did you do your exhaust? I dont want to do a mac four into 1, id rather just remove the back pieces of the exhaust and have straight pipes. Is that similar to what you did?

    Thanks,
    Luke
