First ride of the season ! ! !

I just got back from my first ride of the season and I noticed 2 things. A....I need a new fuse box. thats a given. but when im in 5th gear and kinda get on it, the bike starts to hesitate, kinda a jerking. likes its misfiring. Idea's???

 

At the speed it'll get jerky in 5th, is this with partial throttle? and
Going wide open will it clear up and take off?

At that same speed it'll get jerky in 5th, can you drop to 4th and it'll take off without going Wide Open?

2 thoughts are your floats may be too low, to accelerate from cruising speed and in the highest gear is where the largest immediate load is and it'll swallow the most gas, if your sucking the bowls down it can get jerky bad.

My other thought it check the ignition wires and wires under boots to the spark plugs. That's been known to loose spark under load also.

 

I talked to a buddy of mine and he said to try carb cleaner. so i put in not quite half a bottle in w/ a full tank of gas and she seems to be great !
