I thought Colortune was a brand owned by Morgan, although I thought Morgan was a british company and therefore wondered why they had mispelled 'colour', so I could be wrong..

I've never seen one made by anybody else though, but it would be surprising if such a simple idea could be comprehensively protected by a patent.

So then there's only one company that makes them? Morgan?

    I think so -

The glass lens has to have the same expansion properties as the metal body (threaded part) so don't rev the motor while using, don't tighten too much, and don't set it down on something cold when it's screamin hot - set it on a towel.

Don't rev while using the colortune? The instructional videos on the website shows them revving with the colortune, and doesn't advise against it either.

You can "blip" the throttle as part of the tuning process, but I wouldn't run it to 5 grand. The ColorTune is a tad fragile.

It's a good thing I read this then. In one of the videos on their website they checked what I guess is the "off idle" in higher rpms. Im going to get a colortune, and I don't have much of a reason to use it at higher rpms, but if I did it for the hell of it ide be out 60 bucks, and possibly have glass shards in my face. lol

Got a Gunson Colortune from the United Kingdom. Got it within a week or so. Worked great. Cost $51.00 Shipped to my door. Used Paypal and no issues.

I was gonna say, I'd never heard of the Morgan Colourtune, only the Gunson Colourtune, here in the UK

Morgan sells the Gunson product through their site; hence the confusion.

BOTH excellent products, by the way (Morgan CarbTune and Gunson ColorTune.)
