Hey, I wanted to check and see if anyone (or more) out there is in the Dallas area. I'm looking forward to the upcoming spring weather and was wondering if I could meet up with some more experience XJer's around the area and get any advice on my 82 650. It seems to be running well, but honestly, I don't have enough experience with bikes (about 90 miles so far) to know if it's running right or not. I'm in The Colony, near Frisco and Plano, so if anyone is interested, please contact me.

    Thanks in advance.

Just picked up an 82 750 Seca yesterday. I'm in Frisco (right around the corner, heh). Put about 200 miles on her today, and I think I'm in love.

Shoot me a PM if you want to go ride sometime =>

romusprime, I'll definitely do that. Of course, before I can do that, I'll have to get my carbs back together. ;-)

Heh, I hear ya there. At one point I had both sets from my other two bikes torn apart and sitting on the table. That's one of the big reasons I bought the Seca, wanted a bike that was running for the season. Seemed like I was spending more time wrenching on bikes than riding bikes.

The sad thing is, my Maxim is supposed to be my "riding" bike. Haven't rode it more than 2 miles this season so far. Thought I was going to be able to today, but am still having carb issues.

We need a Carb Clinic sometime soon.

I'd be interested in a carb clinic as well, just to make sure the XJ is running at peak.

Figures I got a bike that runs and it starts raining here =<

I'm in Granbury. Put me on the list for the upcoming carb clinic.
My ride is running good but could use some expert tweeking.
I'll probably trailer it there because I'm not too keen riding in the metroplex traffic.
