I am looking for some opinions on which would be the best choice for a round headlight on a Seca 750? I was thinking of a V Max headlight or is that not a good choice?

I guess I don't know. Wasn't there two different styles of headlights on the 80s Maxims? I thought that one of the styles were similar to the V Max's. I am interested in keeping the headlight smaller and fitted as tight as possible to the forks. The style that you have, is it the smaller type?

the maxim headlight is 7" round sealed beam headlight in a bucket. It's pretty good sized.

I really like the looks of that setup, unfortunately it looks exactly the same as my naked SV's. I would like to keep the light closer to the neck and forks. Do you know of where i could look for pics of either the V Max or later Maxims headlights on this particular bike? I have looked on this forum for hours and haven't found one yet. I'm in the middle of a project on this bike and I want it to look as factory as possible. I will be shortening the back plactics and cutting the seat for a single passenger and want the bike to keep it's styling minus the 2 square headlights that I removed last night.

I really like the first link's pics. Especially the way that the gauges sit on top of the bucket. That is another obstacle I have to overcome but the information on the old gauges is very desirable.

The first link looks like a stock maxim light and bucket but different mounting brackets.
