I was wondering if anyone on here has ever put 11inch struts on their XJ? I have an 82 xj650 and put slammer shocks on it, but really like the look of struts. I guess my question is has anyone done it and if so did the frame hold up or not?

One of the members posted that struts were harder on him and the bike than hardtailing...

I don't mind the harder ride, I just want to make sure that it's not going to cause my frame to crack or anything.

Didn't figure you were talking about the ride. If not mistaken, I think that was what he was trying to say (hard on welds). No personal experience with struts myself. Maybe someone else will reply with more info  ...

Thanks for the info. I just went ahead and put slammer shocks on it.
