Very "Plain-looking" ... but, really nice and clean.
    Only 7,000 miles.

Off season. Xmas around the corner. Bad economy. Down-sides.
Clean. Classic. Collectible and Rare. Plus-sides.

What should we set the "Over~Under" at for what this bike will close at?

(A 7,000 miler with new paint and no badges or decals makes me think this was a Van-Winkle this guy can't make run right. I'd have to RIDE this bike before buying it, ... or get a Compression Test with flying colors. I'd hate to think its a corpse in a rented Tux!)

I went on ebay and looked but didn't see it. But I did see a lot of 1100's and VMAX's. Did anybody see the quad with the R6 motor on it? The guy was upset because the state of PA wouldn't legalize it for the road. Should've checked into that before hand. Then he tries to unload it on someone else, got news for you, no state's going to legalize it because it wasn't a street legal vehicle to begin with.

that r6 is only about 30 minutes from me! Thing looks sick but definitely not going to get legalized in PA

Thanks for the link Rick, nice looking bike. Why is it that all the good deals come along when you don't have any money? Because they need money too!

Rick's initial assessment was correct; this bike doesn't run as claimed.

Take a close look at it; that valve cover's never been off. I got a 7100-mile bike (my black '83) and 8 of 8 valves were tight. And what's with the cheesy black spray paint on the alternator cover and shifter covers? And what's with the YICS badges on the crank end covers being replaced with "DOHC?"

    Look closely. Original brake lines.

This is a most likely completely untouched bike with new paint on the tins, and probably little else. Some amateurish rattle-can work was done on the motor to cover up the flaking original black finish; mechanically I doubt it's been touched, because it "still runs great."

Sorry, but it's worth about $800, MAYBE a $Grand because of the new paint. IF it passes a compression test. But it's still gonna take another $1000 if you want to ride it.

Somebody is going to snatch that 900.
There's a counter at the bottom of the page showing close to 400 views.

We only get to see the photos deemed flattering enough for the Sales pictorial.
Wiz nailed the "Never been down" Non-original covers.
Some paint where it don't belong. No badges.

C.S.I. - XJ has another clue we need forensics to examine and run trace.

They forgot hit the Center Stand with a blast of compressed air and clean it for some primer and paint.

Did anybody else notice the untouched swingarm, and frame on that white washed, get me rich quick scam??? Nothing was done to that bike except repainting the engine, and bodywork. Both done cheap, and sloppy.

$1435 and reserve not met. He was just playing it out to see what he might get out of it. No doubt the reserve was above the $2500 mark.

Well.....being that I have a near pristine 900, I figured I'd go look at it since I just saw this discussion. Funny......the listing is no longer available to even see the end of it. Hmm....I just a got a wif of a funny fish smell. I had pizza last night, so I know it's not the oven........
