I am planning on building a PVC air intake for one pod filter instead of the PO's setup with single pods. My questions is does anyone know the diameter of the carb inlet? and the space between each inlet? I would measure myself but my bike isnt here...?

I don't, but there's this thread where it's been done. See if it helps any.

You planning on putting the pod in the middle or on one end?

The PVC Tees and/or elbows should be 1.25". Then you need a flex coupling, which is just a rubber boot with 2 hose clamps. I don't remember right off hand the size of the flex coupling, but if you buy it all at once you can just get whichever one fits over the 1.25" fittings. The OD of the fittings is almost exactly the same size as the OD of the carb intake.

Oh, almost forgot. To get the proper spacing between the Tees, you're going to have to cut some off of each Tee/elbow to be able to get them close enough.

Not to be a debbie downer but you may want to consider another material... I remember seeing a forum post where the inside of the pvc pretty much melted after a few months of the exposure to the small amount of gas in the air... i think Orange-N-Black had similar issues...

I'm pretty sure that was an issue after the carbs, not before.

I originally made a pvc air intake to replace my airbox, but didn't get a chance to see how it worked because of carb issues. I used 1 1/4 tubing with 2 pod filters just behind carbs 2 & 3.
The other intakes were made to adapt a 2 carb conversion so I didn't need the pvc air intakes. Still sitting on a shelf in the shop minus the pods.

man, I was hoping you were going to tell me that the two pod intake in the pics worked well. I'm dying to do some more mods but I don't want to lose performance.....

I would think having the two pipes to the filters more in between the 2 carbs, as opposed to going straight to the middle 2 carbs, would allow more even distribution

I really like the design that you used and I want to do something similar but my question is wouldnt the two center cylinders have more air intake that the two outer? There is more space for the air to travel to the outside cylinders. I know you havent used them but maybe someone used a similar design and could share some input...?

Im kicking this idea around since I first saw this post and the one schmuckaholic posted.
KumanK I''m thinking the same thing.
My idea is that the path of air flow needs to be the exact same distance from the point of intake to each carb.
I also see that Rick's ponit about the atmospheric ports being modified makes good sense and coud be a major player in a solution. so far the probem with my idea is the given space in wich to make this happen.

Well I am doing the exact same setup as Orange-and-Black with UNI pk-22 filters, so I will let you guys know how it goes. Wish me luck everyone.
