This may ramble a bit (sorry) but wanted to let you all know how appreciative I am of this site and all the good members here. I owned a bike several years ago and had to give it up. I finally was able to get things together and purchase my 82 750 maxim with being a auto tech sad to say at a bit of a loss when it comes to motorcycles, and being young with last bike never did much with it but ride. When I came across this site was delighted that I might find a little help getting this old (but great) bike running well. EVERYONE here has helped out alot and with out belittling my lack of knowledge in the mechanics of these great bikes. I hope I can help some of you out in the future, it really is nice to find not only a helpful site but people on the site that care about helping others enjoy these bikes. Also hope there is a ride somewhere I will be able to join to actually meet some of you, again THANKS!!! and ride safe.

dont worry ramble away , we all need each others information , its a credit to these XJ bikes , i bet the guys who designed these bikes 25 yrs ago would have not believed you if you said that in the future people all over the world would be talking to each other swapping ideas via a keyboard and screen . we've come a long way and the xj has seen it all . WOW!! that was a bit heavy i must have my nostalic {bad spell } head on . anyway all the best to you and your bike , keep the questions and solutions coming .
    best wishes from the uk

Glad to hear that the site is working :D. Some of us have zero bike mechanical ability and just need advice and guidance, others are willing to get greasy and start wrenching. Some are just looking for a place to blog their adventures, post their pictures and have a place to chat about their bike adventures.

Our site members are a great bunch of guys! I’m amazed that we got members from all over the world. That’s just fantastic. I also would like to thank you all for all the help!

This is a really great place to find info for these beast. I owned a Suzuki Cavalcade before and found a site for it and diagnosed and fixed everything that came up on it. This site has been as much help to me as the Cav site was. I hope I can throw in a 2 cent piece when it'll help someone out.
