OK I thought this might be fun. Facebook has this thing called Doppleganger week where facebook users all over the globe swap their profile picture with their look alike celebrity. It went viral and was pretty fun to see who people "thought they looked like" lol. OK so it doesn't have to be a look-alike celebrity and maybe it's just just a brief reprieve from your beloved mainstay avatar but it could be fun for a short time. Who's in?

by the way - this is the best website I have found for simply re-sizing any pic to fit the avatar specifications. www.shrinkpictures.com (just upload your pic and specify 90 as the max dimension and it will resize it for you).

I'll start - long live the king (no I don't look like him lol)

I wanted Bugs Bunny wearing a wizard's cap, but I can't find a decent clip of it.

And that's not Daffy Duck; it's Duck Dodgers (in the 24 1/2th Century.) Full name Duck Edgar Dumas Aloysius Eoghain Dodgers.

I would have to decide between Goldberg and Mr. Clean. Probably have to go with Goldberg since I have the Go-t

Probably a fun place to put this......so I'm in the living room and there's an almighty smack on the window as this Northern Hawk Owl, travelling at about 40k.p.h. [we have metric owls..] feet/ talons out...heading for the budgie......it forgot about glass windows and cages...only had eyes for the budgie....BIG fail...glared at me while I took a photo and flew off, apparently none the worse.....now to "resize" to avatar.......there we go...

Well, the blue eyes, bald head, and they got the ears half right. Pierced in both of 'em. Plus the go-t, and I don't wear white t-shirts, so we'll go with this one

I have no idea what hat Fitz is thinking of but Maybe4 asked if I could do bugs justice. Mechanical modeling is not good at artistic drawings so this was a feeble attempt at the Fitz avatar.

Was fun trying to get Solidworks to be organic, looks like I need more practice on non-mechanical things, couldn’t quite capture the bugs look, I started with a downloaded rabbit model and made some minor tweaks but the more I messed with it the less it looked like bugs.

Thanks Maybe4 for asking for the attempt.

Your being too hard on yourself that is freaking amazing!

Looks just like the wascally wabbit. I really like the glint in his eye and the texture on the hat. Your mastery is showing with that software-organic or not.

How is the XJ project going? I was mesmerized by your front end modeling. It would be killer to see our carbs that way-then we could go inside the little buggers without ever leaving the 'puter.

Too late for a change now eh? It's a futuristic duck at that my friend.
Just to clarify I was simply marveling at FlyGp's work, not suggesting that bigfitz go a changin'. I think the avatar he uses is great.

I agree that Fitz should keep Duck Edgar Dumas Aloysius Eoghain Dodgers as his avatar, the universe wouldn’t be right if he changed it now.

MayBe4 needs credit for the idea, he noticed that Fitz was looking for the Bugs image in his reply to this thread and was kind enough to ask me for the attempt. I thought it was rather nice of MayBe4 to think of doing this for Fitz so I was happy to give it a try.

I think the idea was that the picture would have a hand drawing look like a Bugs cartoon, but I don’t know how to make CAD modeling systems achieve that look.

The XJ modeling is progressing well thanks for asking. It is a lengthy process but is picking up some momentum now that winter is curtailing other distractions.

Hey FlyGp you are modeling an entire XJ? Maybe you could screenprint some XJ T-shirts, that'd be sweet.

Fly; Sorry to jump in late.

Honestly, I'm flattered that you guys went to the trouble; it came out great considering the limitations of your software. I suspect it can't do "furry."

Thanks again; I'm gonna capture it and do something with it.
