Or, you can go to the local chick sewing store
and get a variety of vinyl material and make your
    own cover.

Mine came out very well and with a few added goodies like
studs, buttons and concho's it looked almost aftermarket.

If you prefer you can find a 2xx/3xx leather jacket at the secondhand
    store if vinyl doesn't suet.

I made my own seat with a fiberglass seat pan, a bit of foam and some marine grade vinyl.

Of course this is an xs1100, but the concept is there. I dont know if this is what you are thinking of, but it might be of some guidance!

Nice looking bike! Just wondering where one would buy sheets of marine grade vinyl?

Also, is that the stock rear fender on there?

    Thanks for the compliment!

I bought marine grade vinyl from a local fabric store (ya the same one my mom goes too haha). It was pretty darn cheap, I think about $25 for a square meter, way more than I needed.

The fender is a Harley, Dyna style. As you can see I cut off all the stock mounting tabs on the rear end of the frame and then mounted the fender with two bolts on each side. If you want some more detail I have some pics.

    Cheers

Or, you can have the pros do it for not a whole lot of money.

I've had two seats done by Sargent's, one a stock re-cover with a colored welt added; and the other a recontoured and up-foamed custom seat that only looks like stock. Check out their website; if you can dream it they can build it. http://www.sargentcycle.com/custserv.htm

This is an "all-day" seat now, it looks "stock" unless you compare it side-by-side with a stocker. The original had a much deeper drop between the front and rear sections; I had that leveled in and the "hump" moved back a tad, then "Atomic Foam" added and the 'riding platform' raised and flattened (again, see the Sargent's site.)

I was gonna say Harley. Looks really sweet! I'll PM you my email address if you wouldn't mind sending me some shots of the mod process.

Fitz, could you give me a ballpark figure to get a seat like that recovered, with the fancy foam upgrade and all?
