i would guess he went with wider white walls to go with the white and blue paint, i think it looks good, I would have to agree with yamyboy, not my cup of tea neather, not that i drink tea

I agree that the white walls "go" with the blue & white paint job, but to me wide white walls are a 1940s/50s thing, which clashes with my image of the Seca (a hot bike when I was in college).

It's all a matter of taste and ingrained perceptions, and I recognize that mine aren't any better than anyone elses, they're just mine.

BTW, the "retro" Seca in the picture is for sale on eBay, if anyone REALLY likes it!

I like them, Actually I'm buying a set of those in a couple of weeks for my maxim. Although I agree they go with the paint, but their not 'secaish'

I wouldn't run them on my bike....................might clash with the paint.

I think whitewalls would look sweet on a black XJ650 Seca with a bobbed front & rear fender and a solo seat... Like mine.

To each his own... I do think they look a l'il off on the 750, though. Cool for a reference.

I remember wide whitewalls on the cars back in the day. Didn't care for them back then and still don't. They just look butt ugly on anything to me. I'd much rather see raised white letters on tires myself. To each his own.

I think you might need a zoot suit to ride that XJ....perhaps a furry hat?

White-walls on that bike are like putting a beard on the Mona Lisa.

Eeek, I just lost my cookies, that's pee-utride, even if your name is Huggybear. It almost hits me like white walls on a Busa.

That's just plain wrong. Some bikes= OK. That bike, NO.

That like those people that put chrome door edge molding on every edge they can find.

With the right trim, they might look good on a bobbed Max. On that Seca, not so much.
