    I finally broke.... 10,000 miles!

And I remember how it all began, the bike was originaly my grandmothers and she purchased it new in 1985, from there it was used for the next 5 years, after that it had been sitting since 1990.

I spend a lot of time with my grandmother, In the beginning of 2007 she was having car troubles at the time (the transmission) and she didnt have the money to fix it, so I offered to give her the money for a new transmission (she is my grandmother afterall) and she decides that she would not feel right about takeing the money from me.

To cheer up the spirits I took her out to see a movie, and we saw "Wild Hogs" (decent movie by the way) and that is where it all started. We got to talking about fixing up the bike and that is where I got the bright idea, to "buy" the bike from her and she could use the money for the transmission on her car. Well she went for it.

Took me 1 week to get it running, every chance I had between school and work I was out working on it.

I got it registered in the following weeks and I found out she was going to be at her office, (she still didn't know at the time that I had it up and running) so I road it down to her office and I walked in with all gear on, I pulled off the full face helmet and she jumped up and down like she had won the lottery. I will always remember that day.

Now it is 2012 and I was coming home from a great day at work and watched the odometer roll; 9,999.6 .7 .8 .9----10,000!

Now I am at home relaxing, and I turn on the TV and look to see what is on. guess what "Wild Hogs"!!!

What a great way to start off the 2012 year!

    Happy New Year everyone!
