Greetings. thought it was about time i joined the forum . i have had various XJ's over the years. Starting with a 750Seca, then a 900f and all whilst having a 750 Jap import in the workshop in various states of repair.
Both the seca and 900f were streetfightered and very heaverly tuned.
the 900f had 148bhp on the dyno. it helped at the time working for a classic racing car team, so parts and tuning was easy to come by.

but what brings me here... well its actully a link on google re a Yoshimura 820 Bigbore kit. i know TTS had 2 of them for sale. but there was 3. me and my father bought one ages ago from them, (im talking years here) and also bought a set of camshafts to go with the kit. (STAGE5 5 Yoshimura Racing use only). the kit still hasnt been fitted but its going to happen this year. its a interesting bike.. it looks like the 650 UK bike. rounded tank, silver with blue and white stripes. but with a nice 750 lump in it. (from the factory, i have the history so its not a user swap out) . we bought it as a winter project in 1995, and its carried on from there. had to have a brand new head as the old one was cracked. brand new OE collector (found on the wall of a shop by a rep who remembered it from a few years previous), upgrading the headlamp to a XJR1300 one. carbs have been rebuilt totally. new diaphrams etc. new inlet rubbers, powdercoated frame. i'll get pics and upload them soon. the really big problem i have is, i had a really nasty accident in 2008. and whilst in hospital all broken and stuff i made that really silly promise to my parents. " yes mum and dad. i promise never to ride motorbikes again!" im a stickler for stuff like this. so i have kept that promise. still work on them. build them, tune them. but i cant ride them.... Sob...;( anyway. hopefully i can swap some insight from my experience and get some tips and stuff on things im not sure on.. ttfn.

It will be great to have a hot rodder around. I'm a total Noob with motorcycles, my old xj650 is my first road bike.
Turning up the power is in my blood though. I have had a lot of fun turning up the power on my vehicles. The last machine I built was a 585 horsepower Turbo Camaro as my daily driver.

Some XJ performance tips and tricks would be worth knowing.
