Kickstand switch??

    How do I disable it? I have it standing on the back kickstand and trying to diagnose a no spark issue (well, I fig'd it out was a burned up hot lead in the cdi) I jumped the lead in the CDI and am trying to fire the bike on the stand w/o the tank on it and no sparky. :?

    Locate and unplug the safety (cutout) relay and it will disable all of the safety stuff. The sidestand switch has to be "jumpered" to be bypassed.

    On your 650 the sidestand relay should be on the frame, straight above the cam chain tensioner.

    As Fitz said, unplug it to disable the system. If that works you've narrowed it down to the switch or the relay itself.
