I am starting this thread to make a log of all of the mods I will be doing.
I bought the bike for 400 and have about 200 in parts for it so far.
I felt as if the handlebars and big computer looked like a horrible mistake at the design shop. So I did a simple wiring setup using the multitude of diagrams on this site. I guess 8lbs lost but will put it on a scale very soon.

Then I decided to leave the clubman bars the PO put on it as clutter free as possible so I ordered a self contained throttle unit and levers.

I have also started on my cafe seat.

next up: a dyno run for a baseline, port and polish, new rear tire, and some ride time.

    now for the pics:
    day I got it.

on ebay look up niche cycle supply. The handles were like 18 bux and the grips were like 20? got it 2 days after I ordered it.

I also made a mod to my float bowls so you can get the screws out easily. I know the old screws are fused in there so bad you would have to drill and tap em anyhew so I just ran a 5/16 threader down the other empty side in drilled a 3/16 hole from inside the bowl. then I bought some 5/16 threaded inserts that were 1/4 inch long from the HOME DEPOT. and it came out like this...

Decided on scrapping the cable setup to the master cylinder for a cbr unit with an angle on the resevoir because I am running clubman bars. Then just gonna run a banjo to hard line adapter to run down to the log splitter. Add in some new crush washers and button up the brakes. pics to follow soon as funds allow for some play time.
