Hi boys and girls! The title more or less sums it up. im looking for a gas tank for a 82 550 secca. It is for a project that really has no set time frame for completion so i am not looking to spend a fortune. i dont really care what shape its in as long as it does not leak, and the inside is not full of rust. i do have my own petkock and badges as well as a sending unit so if youd like to keep those as spares then thats fine. im located in upstate NY and would preffer something near by but if it needs to be shipped in from some where then thats ok as well. What ya boys and girls have ?

Bttt! Some one has to have a secca tank stashed away :). I also have a maxim 550 tank that has the original paint and is in fairly good shape with almost no internal rust I can trade for. I also have a ton of other parts still kicking around.

The Seca 550 tank is not an easy find. It is even harder to find one in nice condition. If you can find one, expect to pay over $100 for one that has some dings and bad paint.

There's several on eBay right now. Most of them look to be in great shape.

True but they want a fortune for them.

Those are pretty much the going rate for a decent tank.

I've got to agree; you're not going to find one for much less than $100~$150 unless it's a POS.
