Napoleon Bar-Enz bar end mirrors; genuine (NOS) Nava Gran Turismo grips. The best of the best:

Unfortunately, neither are that easy to find (although not impossible thanks to eBay.) The mirrors are still a current product, but the manufacturer had some "distribution" issues.

A note on Gran Turismo grips: They come in different sizes; if you're looking for them, be sure you don't accidentally buy scooter grips that won't fit. I use the 21/27X130mm type HO-95.

Im interested, I have a k&n super bar style handlebars I think might go well. How do the bar end mirrors install?

Fitz Im sure those grips are comfortable but they look a little pregnant.

    Those very well might. They're the 22/25 X 130mm; I used the 21/27 X 130MM on my Yammies.

My concern would be whether the 25mm ID one would fit the Yamaha throttle drum without having to stretch it too much. On the left, I don't think the difference between 21 and 22mm will matter.

Bushy, jeishen; those look like the original lever bellows (which is what mine are.) They're still available from Yamaha over here and not super-expensive; plus chacal carries them as well. Those look like faithful repros.

Does the instruction sheet I posted look like a reproduction?

Nope. Real ones are out there; just hard to find PLUS a lot of eBay sellers don't spell the name right. (HINT) If they're real, the instruction sheet above comes crumpled around a GLASS vial of long-dried out glue, shoved in the larger diameter grip.

I've kept the "bag header" tags and even one of the glass vials of glue as souvenirs.

Your 'Bay-fu is weak grasshopper; patience is the key. I didn't say they were easily found; but they can be found. Just don't buy the 18/25 X 110mm scooter grips.

    Happy hunting.

***Side note*** How is it that people manage to mis-spell the names of stuff they're listing, even when they could copy it OFF THE BLOODY ITEM IN THEIR HAND???? Rant over; I've learned to take advantage of it.

I got a pair of said grips,"Gran Turismo Style Grips Yamaha XJ550 XJ600 XJ650 XJ700G" grips for $14. They fit well and are much more comfortable than the worn out dirt bike grips that came on the bike.

Fitz, what did you use to cap off the threads of the original mirror mounts? I'm looking to switch to some bar end mirrors...

A couple of those black plastic "body fasteners" from the auto parts-- you know those black body/interior trim retainer "nails?" They come in different head sizes; I just lopped the "peg" off to an appropriate size and put a small dollop of black RTV on the back to hold them securely in place.

I used Yamaha handlebar clamp bolt trim plugs for the allen screws retaining the bar-end mirrors.
