Another update on the 3D XJ project, I am currently working my way thru the engine sub-systems, I have recently completed the shift mechanism and the oil pump (renderings attached).

Up next is the oil pan casting and middle gear then It’s time to split the case and start the shift drum and transmission.

Input is always appreciated, if you see any errors in the models let me know.

    Yep another update 02-21-2012

this is the progress of the middle gear output shaft with the U-joint.

I have A few details to clean up in this area before moving on to the next subassembly, but this is a test rendering of the sub-assembly.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments on the project, your input keeps me motivated. As usual take a look at the rendering, if you see any errors or detail that would make this clearer let me know.

    Comments always appreciated.
