    Ok, this must be a little bit off the subject but I have a question. How do you tell by the Serial # off of the engine just what year the engine is? I ask this because on the bike I purchased, 81' XJ 750 Seca R, I have noticed that the frame # and the engine # do not match? The bike only shows 18,000 miles on it but I suspect that the engine is not the original engine. Got any idea's on the subject? grunt 007, 81' XJ Seca 750 R, Mi.
