Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm so sick of this weather I could heave! I checked my riding log from last year, and by this date I'd already done the first ride of the year. Arrhhhh!

I just shoveled the snow away from the door of the shop where I keep the bikes yesterday because it's finally melting up here. 40 degrees yesterday and it looks like 42 today, so things are looking up!! If things keep up like this, maybe I'll get a ride in this weekend!

I had her out last week but I couldn't take advantage of today because I've only had 3 hours of sleep and that's not a good thing to risk my bike/life with.

    ;)

Hopefully it'll warm up again soon...

Well, call me chickensh*t but I didn't ride either....my rules are, no first ride until after a good hard rain to wash away the salt and sand/road debris. And that might happen tomorrow.....I'll keep my fingers crossed! I can't ride the Seca anyway until I throw a new chain and sprockets and a new set of tires on.

I didn't expect to but I did manage to ride today.

I took her around the block late this afternoon partly because my friend took his Harley out at the same time and partly because it was nice out.

Did the *sputter* Oops! *switch to reserve* shuffle. but otherwise she ran fine. As long as it's not freezing tomorrow I'll go and get gas in her.

Out and about today for a bit. Tried to take advantage of the beautiful weekend, but it wasn't in the cards.

But yes, this winter has sucked. I LIKE snow, and I'm sick of it.

Not from Illinois, but close enough (Indiana). I got out a couple days about three weeks ago in between some snow, but then had some electrical issues. I've rode every day this week (I commute about an hour and a half to work), but that hasn't been the best. Monday and Tuesday were beautiful. 70's and sunny. Wednesday was nice on the way to work, but solid downpour all the way home. Yesterday it drizzled all day but nothing bad, and today's just cold. I'm not looking forward to the 20-degree ride home tonight... Tomorrow isn't supposed to be any better, but at least it's sunny?

Indiana is definitely close enough. You're hard core, as your ink and earlobes show as well ;)

I used to ride through the winter, but that's only because I had to. Now I'm older, wiser, and own a car, too.

Meh, I own a car I just don't use it unless I have to. I'm not hardcore at all -- I wear about 60 pounds of warm clothing, haha.

    Bad weather.
I'm off this week and look what happened.
80 to 40 in one day. And for the rest of the week.
I spent monday afternoon Working down my tank and panels with 600,
prepping for paint and now I'm afraid I can't keep my shop temp up with exhaust fan running.
I'm sure next week when I'm working it will be nice again, and I'll be
looking for some free time to do some painting. :(
