seen a xj750 last sunday

well not that big a deal but it was the 1st xj ive seen in nearly 2 years of looking for them, it was an 81 750,they are very thin on the ground over here, as soon as i seen it parked at Redcliffe on my ride i did a U turn and went back to have a close look, it was a silver one in case its a members bike here.

 

There are a few about ... just last week I was in Cairns and saw an XJ900 and another one at Moorooka the week before that. Us Bris Vegas XJ'ers should organise a day out sometime.

 

I've seen only one XJ900 on th road around here about 2 years ago. A 650 and a 750RL at a wreckers, but i don't go to wreckers much. A small market c/w th u.s.

 

A little while ago I was looking for an airbox for the 900 and did a ring around the wreckers ... I found a couple in bits. The number that come up on ebay is a bit surprising too. We have a local trader mag in the area and that's where I got my 900 from for $500. Just a parts donor for now but it's complete and pretty straight. True there's not many on the road anymore, pity.

yeah you dont see many, they do pop up on ebay fairly regular thou, id like an old 900,, have to say it bugs me abit when you see them practically giving them away in the good old USA, it would be good to get a few lined up together, i forgot about this but i seen a decent 900 up at the museum swap meet a couple of weeks ago, thats 2 in 2 years, now there everywhere, anyway im on the northside near sandgate and am always up for a ride.

 

I'm in the western 'burbs at Karalee ... we have another member gunnabuild1 who is in Booval not far from here ... one of these days we'll get around to it !

A while back there was a link popped up that had a map of all the XJ forum members .. anyone know where that went?

 

I,m in the Windsor ,nsw area and had a 900 until 18 months ago. In the 2 years I had it I only saw one other on the road.I sold it locally, so still see it fairly regularly. Am currently in the process of slowly restoring another 900 out of the two spares bikes I acquired and look forward to getting on one again. They,re starting to ask ridiculous prices on ebay ( Oz ) for the 900,s ,but most are being past in. cheers,Murray
