I have an 81xs1100LH. I am looking for stainless steel brake lines that will fit. I am lost so far as using the search on this site as it is unfamiliar to me.
I have a 82XJ1100 as well which I hope to restore as it is in such fine shape. All original but needs some welding on the exhaust. Other than that it is all completely original. Anyways long story short, can anyone direct me to a site that has Stainlesse steel coated brake lines that will fit either the 81LH or the 82XJ1100?

XJ4Ever I believe has you covered. They are the local XJ parts supplier with a link top right of the page. If you're bike is still stock handlebars then it's just a straight up replacement, but if you have custom bars you will need custom lines as SS lines won't flex or allow variable torsion. Another option is a local shop that custom fits lines. I found a local shop (on advice from a local auto parts counter guy) that does all sorts of custom hoses, they primarily do airplane hydraulics but brake lines as well. I got my lower line from Chacal and had the upper made to fit my lower bars. XJ4Ever can do custom lines as well.

    You can also try HEL.

I have their lines on my XS and XJ 11s. They will make them in any color you need. I like the kits because they have all the needed hardware and gaskets. Spend the extra money and get the stainless bleed nipples.

Thanks guys. Now , I can stumble around the site a bit better. I have been to XJ4ever. I am not sure if the 81 XS1100LH (midnight special) brake lines are the same as the 82 XJ1100 lines. I imagine if I email Chacal he will know.
