So I just finished reading this thread after I noticed that my clutch safety circuit wire had been snapped off..
    http://www.xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic ... +wire.html

I'll order the part soon, however, i'm a little confused as to how I would replace this part. It looks like part of it broke off in the clutch housing and I'm not really sure how to open it and replace it. Can someone give me some directions?

On the bottom side there is a hole where the tab on the switch clicks in. Push that tab in while pulling out on the remainder of the switch. Supa-easy.

If you continue to have problems you can take the pin out and pull the lever off and get into the other side to see.

If all else fails you can just break it all apart and pull out the pieces...it's already broken anyways and the 30 y/o plastic isn't all that strong.

Oh haha, it didn't seem like a two prong connector. It looked like some wires with a plastic housing. Thanks :)

So reading from the other thread, someone gave the part number for the cable that I need. 3Y6-82917-00-00 $8.88. How do I place that order?
