OK, so I fire up the 1100 for the first time this year. Battery is still good, jumps back to life, runs fine.....but....

I try to roll it out of the garage and it's like the emergency brakes are on! I give it a little gas and let out on the clutch and nothing.... The back wheel seems to be locked up. Maybe even the front too!

What gives? Did the brake calipers freeze up over the winter? Any thoughts?

You're probably due to service the Slide Pin.

The Caliper doesn't get to move very much ... but, what little bit it does NEED to move ... if this Slide Pin and and all the related Rubber Parts and ... particularly the I.D. it needs to slide in ... is other than clean, smooth, lubed and loose ... those style calipers will usually drag, squeal, bind and eventually lock-up.

    Pull the Slide Pin (#12-24) ... chuck it in a high-speed drill ... shine it with 400, 600 then, 800 -- even 1000.

Ream-out any crud built-up on the I.D.'s of where the Pin Slides with 400, 600, 800 - Very clean; restore movement.

    All back together nice.
    Quiet on the set.
    Action!
