Hi there, I'm changing my front tire and would like to know what others use to keep the calipers from closing while the wheel is off. I'm not sure how thick the disc's are because I havn't check them yet. Thanks

I use an appropriately sized hunk of corrugated cardboard folded in half; the folding makes it want to behave kind of like a spring and keep the pads pushed back.

Hm....I've never had mine try to close on me unless I accidentally squeezed the lever. In that case, I just use a piece of wood and a c-clamp and push the piston and pad back to wide open.

If the caliper is trying to close on it's own, it seems that something might be stuck in the braking system. They shouldn't move unless you squeeze the lever and apply pressure to the system.
