Anyone ever try putting a heel-toe shifter on a 750 Seca? Is there a kit anywhere? Just looking for ideas.

I will be putting one on my daughter's bike pretty soon. I am going to fabricate it myself if I have to and just wondering if anyone has tried it yet.

I've got one on my 'wing and I like it. I'm not sure my riding position on the seca would allow for it though. Yould also have to install floorboards. Wouldn't you be scrapping those all the time in corners? - that's assuming you don't have any chickenstrips on your tires ......

Riding position would just require a different adjustment on the shifter, wouldn't it?

I have been looking on line and there are quite a few heel-toe setups that do not have floorboards. Why do you say I would have to install floorboards? Not trying to be argumentative here, I am just wondering/collecting info so I can decide what to do.

The reason for the heel-toe is that my daughter had foot surgery and now has a plate on the top of her foot right where the shifter would hit. It is very painful to shift the normal way.

it shouldn't be an issue to mock up a heel toe shifter just have to make sure you position it so you won't want to be resting your foot on it all the time

could you adapt a heel toe shifter from a honda crunchie? (c90) if you dont know them as a crunchie over there.

I only said you'd need floorboards so you'd have a place to rest your foot. I don't ever recall seeing a heel/toe setup with a foot peg, but I guess anything is possible given enough time and money

One that I remember seeing was on an old honda dream and I have seen one elsewhere but don't remember what it was on.

figured out were I saw the other one Kuryakyn makes one for the goldwing for use with a peg

Thanks Maverick - I have looked at the Kury ones. I think I can fabricate one like theirs that goes over the peg and basically clips underneath the regular shifter to provide a heel actuated up-shift while still keeping all the linkage in place for the original (which would still provide the down-shift)

I'll post the results when I have it done.

its definitely a bit more complicated because of the reversed lever on the seca but I'm interested to see what you come up with

Floorboards are by no means required to run a heel/toe shifter. I have one mounted to my CB650 using pegs. Just make sure that you are resting your foot on the peg. Not the shifter.

The heel/toe shifter that I have is just 2 standard shift pedals welded together.
