I was looking on the internet about the Colortune tools that you guys have been talking about. I have 3 questions.

    1. What size will fit the XJ's? I have an `82 XJ750 but Im guessing that they are all the same.

    2. What is the average price I can expect to pay for one?

    3. Where would be a good place to get one?

    Thanks in advance.

I bought mine for 45 + shipping from a guy here on this site. It looks like he kept really good care of his as everything was in pristine condition. Keep an eye open on the "for sale" threads as they are fairly common to pop up there. Also, search the forums here as I know I've seen a few postings of online retailers links.

I'm not sure on the size without looking at mine. I want to say 14mm... for some reason that number pops into my head. ( you will probably find that answer while searching for the links )

    650's 700's & 750's used the 14mm plug thread. The 550's and Maxim X 700's used the 12mm. I don't know about the 900's other than the 83 which uses 14mm.

I bought my 14 mm unit for about $35 USD off of Flea-Bay. Brand new in the box, but it was an older style. Try to get the newer one, it doesn't have the arching problem the older ones have.

After looking back at the Eastwood site, I guess I paid more like 65 US for my colortune. Still worth the money in my opinion.

FYI for those frantically searching for a $50 Canadian (or $6.00 US) colortune.

    :)
