I have the same bike. Click on the xj4ever symbol at the top right of the page to get ahold of Chacal. He has every thing you will need. I have ordered everything for my bike from him. The pod size you need should be 52mm, that's what mine are. Be prepared for alot of carb tuning and jet changes to get the bike to run right with those pods. I went back to the stock air box with a 4into1 mac exhaust and it runs great.

LOL - just so long as your reason wasn't to increase horsepower !!.

My vote is to pod it up. You'll enjoy the look.

If you want it to run good with pods and exhaust mods, do yourself a big favor. Get rid of those CV carbs and get some round slide carbs or some old GS carbs. It'll save a lot of headaches.

There is nothing more embarrassing than having a Bike that looks like it should be quick; resist efforts to get tuned-up and running right.

    Buy the Pods!
Don't put them on until AFTER you have the Bike -- Tuned-up on the hairy-edge of running as good as it can be cranked-up, ... stock.

Need it to L@@K Customized, ... you can do that.

Put Foam Rubber Beer-coolers around the Air Box Boots.
Trim them so they Cover the whole Boot.
Make 'em look like custom "Cold Air Intakes"

    Decorate the Air Box.
Everything from Decals to Circuit Breakers, Switches, System Lights or even Faux Nitrous Plumbing.

    Paint, Pin Stripes, Decals.
Decorative Vinyl Shrink-wrap (Carbon Fiber, Metallic, Stainless-look)

Tune it to go fast, ... Stock.
Win a few "Red Light Challenges"

Then, ... after you have had a chance to read-up and research all there is to know about Pods, ... put 'em on and see how you like-it with the Pods on.

::: Dont wreck the Air Box :::

Or he can restore the bike back to original stock condition to make everyone else happy.
Its your bike, do what makes YOU happy.
Will pods work on those CV carbs? With some success. You could try Ricks method or velocity stack pods.
Will it have sport bike performance? Probably not in the high power band, but since you have a Maxim/cruiser bike it probably doesn't matter.

If you enjoy how the bike runs in stock trim, you're liable to be a bit disappointed with the decrease in performance the pods will cause.
