Decal Kit 1982 XJ550RJ USA Red

Have a few questions about putting on original factory coloured decals on my Seca

Does anyone have a picture showing the original colour scheme on the Red not White or Black 82 Seca XJ550RJ for the USA Market?

Can I purchase the proper set anywhere and if so can it be placed over the clear coat or should it be under the clear coat ?

I'm not sure where you can get the decals, but this guy might know.

I clear coat over the decals, my six year old is less likely to peel them off that way.

And yes, she has done it to the old paint job.

Originally, the tank decals were clearcoated over from the factory; but the sidecover and tail section stripes were not. Those were simply applied over the paint.

That being said, the manufacturing process for aftermarket decal sets makes them come out nowhere near as shiny as the original decals; so I would recommend clearcoating over them all.

The red scheme was the ONLY scheme for 1982 (North American market) the white scheme was '81; the black scheme was for '83.

I'll try to find you the source for the correct decal set. Meanwhile, check with chacal.
