Here she is guys, my newest aquisition!
Just put the money down on her tonight, paying the balance on thursday and picking her up.
Should pass safety with no problems as the present owner had it saftied just over 4 months ago and has hardly ridden it. That's not to say I won't be checking the usual suspects before I put it on the road.
The only two things that I can see that are not original is the smooth livery as compared to my buttoned one and the slash cut mufflers. That's ok, because I still have the factory system from my bike when I installed the Hindle pipe.
The up swing is I got it for $1300.00, the down is, well, I haven't told my wife yet.
I am selling my 04 Bandit this spring and that should cover the cost and leave a good chunk of change in the pocket, I only hope she see's it that way!

    Hi Al how goes it?
This will just be a stock bike like the other one, basically a daily rider until the other is put back together.

    How are your projects proceeding?

    Cheers, Graham

    Beautiful bike Graham,

Hopefully I can get a second bike someday... Hate taking tinkering with my daily rider :D. Let us know how the wife takes it, lol.

Nice. Just don't let it swerve you away from finishing the other. I mean that in a good way Graham if your like me i have mine 95 percent done its been that way for almost a year now covered mine in a sheet. Re did my rd and got my honda done. Spring seems to have sprung now down here. The only thing i have left on mine is to polish 1 crank cover rebuild and reinstall the carbs and put a battery in it. My problem 1 have a 150 gal aquarium and stand sitting behind my lift. I have to get all the plants in the bedroom on lower level of my house They have to me moved back outside so i can get the tank thru the sliding glass door. My poor rd has been on the lift since Nov. I start it up using my arm to kick it over but needs to be run. Best of luck with the new bike. I do not have a whole lot of xtra parts but if you need something let me know

    Thanks guys.
The reason I got this one was because of the really great price, and second, I can eyeball this one as a reference when I'm working on the other. I can't even remember when I took it apart, but as you mention cutlass, life does get in the way of the best intentions.
@Forgiven, it has about 51000 kms, so before I even run it I'm going to check my valve clearances.
As far as my wife, wellllll, that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish! I think I'll tell her after I've sold the Bandit. I have a place I can keep the new (to me) bike stashed for a while, wish me luck as I'll probably just come out and tell her anyway.

Boy! This must be my lucky week for all things Maxim-X! Just scored a set of very clean looking carbs for my Maxim-X parts shelf.
Saw these posted on Kajiji yesterday and after several emails and one phone call they will be heading my way.
Best part is I got them for $250.00 and according to the seller they should be ready to bolt on (according to his mechanic  ) to a bike.
I'll probably crack them open for a peek, but even if they needed to be rebuilt, that is still a steal price-wise, at least I think so.
