HI all I'm new here. Got myself a maxim 400 of the 1982 breed. Going to make it a project bike and saw that there is a wealth of information in all of your brains here. I look forward to learning new things and asking all of you questions.

A little about myself I'm Rob. I work as a 911 Calltaker/dispatcher. I'm also a Captain in my Volunteer fire dept.

Looking forward to having fun and learning on this site

Welcome Robbie, Ya, I have been thinking of Bobbing my 81'XJ 750 Seca also. I have seen some great ideas in here where others have bobbed their bikes also. Originally I wanted to keep mine original since they seem to be disappeering around here in Michigan but now that I have seen what some of the guys have actually accomplished by Bobbing theirs I am really shocked to say the least at some of the fine looking machines many have turned out to be. It's a hard decision to take that first big step of sawing off the rear Rails but I think I am getting closer day be day to taking the leap of Faith as to say. You will find plenty of guys in here to give you all the help and support you will need. Best of Luck! grunt007, 81'XJ750, Seca, Mi.
