Hello to all. New to this forum. I have a 1984 FJ600. Am I in the right location for help with this bike? Thanks.

Yep; the FJ600 is essentially the same bike as the XJ550R's.

Can anyone tell me the difference between an FJ600L/C and an FJ600N/C I see parts listed for both. I assume that the /C is for a Canadian edition, but I don't like to assume things.

If you're seeing "C" in a USA-market fiche, it means "California."

That's because the bikes being sold in California had add-on evaporative emissions controls (different gas cap, extra piping, charcoal canister, etc.) that the 49-state bikes didn't have.

Ok thanks, that clears up the C part. What about the L and the N. I notice that the owners manual for the N bike has air assisted front forks. Does this mean that the L model does not? My 1984 FJ600 does not have air forks. I should mention that I am living in Ontario, Canada, and this is a Canadian bike. Really just getting started on this bike and any info is valuable to me at this point. Thanks.

Thanks for making a guy feel welcome. Does anybody know the difference between the L and the N model? It can't be juist years as they list parts for both in the same year.
