    That's a 750 motor and carbs in a 900 chassis.
When working on the motor or carbs, use 750 specs.
The 900 seat, and all body-chassis parts should work.
    Airbox-to-carb boots are unique - DO-NOT-DESTROY !!

A wide variety of aftermarket 12.5 inch shocks work - I have the TURBO air shocks on mine.

Yes they came out of the factory like that, but not for the USA or North American market.

Take your "shorty" VIN number off the top of the transmission cover, and use the prefix (first three, before the dash) and this: http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=14577.html to determine which bike it is. The reference article covers non-USA market model codes too.

That is an XJ 750 RL . 750 motor in a 900 frame. They were sold in Canada but not the USA.

Very similar to my XJ750E-II, 750 in a 900 frame with the main difference being the mufflers and fairing set-up and anti-dive front end.

I have this bike, except it does not have the bottom fairing I have often wondered what the lugs on the frame in that area are for now I know. I suppose they would be like hens teeth to get hold of.

Thanks Adrian1. interesting that if you ask the question there you can pretty much get any part you want for these bikes. So what about the side covers both mine are cracked where they push onto the tank and one of the clips has bracken off and all the rubbers are warn out I have sort of got them to say on but every time you pull them off to do any service work you risk damaging the further. Do you know of anyone that makes these as well.

Bendoza; they've gotta be air horns. I had them on my CB500 and anyone that annoyed me got a blast; should be standard item on a bike.

In this day and age, ... with all the distractions built-in to 4-Wheelers ... Air Horns should be standard on motorcycles.

The "Meep-meep" factory horns can't be heard over Highway noise.
