Did you name your XJ Maxim or Seca? If so, what is it?

Myfirst seca 550 is called the Roach. You can do anything that you want to it and it wont die!!! That includes crashing in turn 8 at Willow springs. While im sliding on my back at triple digit speeds I look to the inside of the turn and see my bike cartwheeling end over end. I am thinking well its been a fun race bike, its trashed now. Got it up and running the same day. Still have it in the garage, still in race clothes, havent started it up in a few years though. That would make a great bike for blazing the canyons.
Second Seca 550 is the Stocker, well its in bone stock showroom condition except for a dent in the tank. Long story short bought it that way. I took my kid for a rid through local mountains. Ex GF said I cant take my kid on the freeway. I say no problem. I load the bike into the truck and head off to ranger station. We unload go for a ride. Have breakfast and head back to the truck. While tying it down one of the tiedowns broke. I watched in horror as the bike came crashing down onto the tank and put a nice dent into it just under the Yamaha emblem. GRRRRR!!!!!
Seca turbo would have to be psycho, since I am always wrenching on it, gotta pull the friggin carbs AGAIN!!!!

I named my XJ as a joke "Lady" and my ninja "Tramp" - The tramp because everything was fast and easy, and the lady because everything was dignified and well done.

I've named my XJ650 "War Pony". My '84 VW Van is "Sweetgrass", My '83 VW GTI is "White Rabbit", and my '95 Boneville is "Bonnie the Deer Slayer". Aptly named since it has taken out two deer with hardly a scratch...:D

Well, I always thought it was kind of corny to name a vehicle, but as I was tearing the carbs out of the bike last weekend, I mentally took note of how much wrenching I have done on this bike compared to how much riding I have done with this bike. Hence, from here on out, my bike shall be known as "Sea King". It sounds much like "Seca", and is a bit of an "in" joke for the Canadians on the site.

    My FZR1000 was "Stinger"
Never named my FJ1200, or my Seca's, don't know why.

IF i were to name it, it would be "Bad Penny". 2 former co workers havd owned the bike, unbeknownest to me. One was one of our supervisors, who still works there, the other was a co worker who moved to Albany(bosozoku?), then sold the bike to the guy I bought it from in Springfield. It is running the best it ever has according to the supervisor. cruzerjd

I named mine Shinden. Which means 'Magnificent Lightening" in Japanese and was given to one of their WWII fighters. But with my never ending battle of the oil leak I have been calling it Yamaharley and Yamahog.

P.O. named my Max Sheila. I've not carried it over and none of my other machines have names. Guess I'm not that romantic. I do have a belief that each of them is sentient but for some strange reason have never felt the compulsion to give them names. They know who they are and who I am so what is the point?

Never gave a bike a name but if I did name my xj I think Stonewall would be appropriate, cause like Jackson at Manassas it dont bloody move.

Alive, I have a niece living in Auckland.
