Man the price sure is right! It would be hard to pass up a $200 project Yamaha.

I got one sitting in storage, waiting on a title. Buddy at work had one and, while I had him pegged as a Hog rider, can't say enough good things about the one he owned a few years ago. Said he'd take the one I have off my hands if I was of a mind. Just might take him up on it owing to a lack of time and space myself. 600 cc and plenty of scoot he said. $200? I'd be at his house with a truck yesterday.

Lemme know if you need any parts, I'm still without a title and there are a few things I can use off of the one I've got for my XJ and FZR (mostly brakes and accessories)

This one sat in a garage for the better part of 5 or so years. I flushed the crankcase and installed a new oil filter but am unwilling to put anything more into it without a title. It is missing the turn signal stalks on the rear, both tires are done and the front fender is cracked off. Otherwise, has a key and everything else. I expect I could have a runner for a few hours on a Saturday. Did you get a title on yours?

Cross country shipping is a bit (on the order of $500 or better I've heard) so I'm sure that this wouldn't be a viable source of pieces parts even if it were free. Drat. I'd love to see this one go to a good home that will bring it back to life. I'd hate to have to break it up.

I would bet that shipping everything in pieces (motor, wheels, frame) seperately might be a little more econimical. The motor would be cashy.

Might, but then again, might not. Paid $75 a few years ago to have a 750 motor shipped from Utah out here to southern CA. I'll bet pieces parts and an engine in a crate would run about $150 or so given current fuel prices. I'd have to check (frame wouldn't be shipped, no point, but if needs be...), figure about 500 lbs for crate and parts. I'll let you know a thumbnail when I get to my shippers on Monday.

I should ask ya how much you would like to get out of it, and figure shipping so I could get an idea how much and even if it will be worth gettin the ol girl back on the road.My E-Mail is in my gallery if you prefer,no hurry.

I got in touch with my UPS fella and he guestimated a round $1xx to $2xx. General thought. Might be worth while. I'm not after more than $200 (obo, I'm pretty flexible) (cover cost of storage at least) for motor. I'll run a compression test (I did check the compression once before but it has been too long since then, I've forgotten what I found out). I would not have kept it if the compression was poor. I'll not have milage details 'till next weekend at least (headed for Sacramento this weekend).

Nope. I called the fellow on the title again this last week and still nothing. I heard from the folks that work with him that he has been out for surgery so who knows. I'm trying to get the information from my buddy to contact the people who own this thing directly. I've got a fellow here locally that is willing to play the waiting game (I think he has a cousin named Vinny who sells used furniture) who has expressed an interest in the bike. He wants to get it into running shape. I just cringe at the thought of hacking up a perfectly good bike so if this fellow comes through, I'm passing it off to him. That is unless your comfortable with the shipping costs and this fellow doesn't show up.

Man Ive owned 2 radians, both 86s and to be honest they are one of the most fun bikes ever. They are simple, light , quick and responsive and bullet proof. The first fz600 shared engines with it and the fj600. That alone says enough!

Well this thing is still sitting here. The dude who is supposed to be helping me get the title called me about two weeks ago and said he is still working on it, but he doesn't hold out that it will happen. I'm still waiting.

If the bike isn't all wrecked up, and fixable to put back on the street, I'd love to take it off your hands for $200. Robert. I'd sure like to pick up a cheap bike I could fix up to give to my wife. Maybe if you ever visited your friend here or came to Phoenix for some event or clinic out here you could bring it, if you have a trailer?

I sold my trailer last year but I can pop it into the bed. I expect with my brother now living in Yuma, there is a very good chance I'll be seeing you sooner rather than later. I'm still running paperwork down on this thing but if I don't get somewhere soon, I'll take you up on the offer.
