i got a 1982 yamaha maxim xj750.i got a new tire for it last year and just had it put on.the original sixe was 140/90 -16 this is a rear tire and the new tire is the same size 140/90-16.i just installed it on the bike and the little crown on the edge off the tire tuches the shaft housing.the old tire is more roundet off.im thinking i need a new tire.it is tempting to just let it wear off its like 1/8 off an inch tuching.the old tire name is mirage G/T by kenda new tire is Challenger also by kenda.what should i do???????????

    Buy me something expensive. :D

Seriously, the book calls for a 130/90 on the rear as opposed to a 140.
