I know that these things don't last forever. Old Jag and Volvo people (SU carburetors) used to call these rubber pieces 'condoms', due to their pathetic durability.

I have recently asked my local friendly Yamaha dealer about the diaphragms. They are freaking $150 a pop. Sounds atrocious to me. does anybody know of a cheaper source? I know that a 20 year old piece of rubber is not gonna last very long. Does anybody know where can I get some 33 mm fuel injection throttle bodies? It looks like modern fuel injected bikes use 37 mm and up throttle bodies.

Stan's site is an interesting and educative read. 1100s use 34 mm carbs, and 700s use 33 mm carbs.
