Whoever did that belongs in a gas chamber or on the end of a rope...... That is a travesty

 

I wouldn't expect much out of that guy....look who he hangs with!

 

It's like looking at a train wreck, it's so bad I can't believe it, but at the same time I find it quite fascinating, so that I can't quit looking at it.

 

So... Rat bikes are made to look bad/worn/decorated but how well are they typically maintained under the grime?

 

Idk, but I would guess in this case not so much, lol.

 

I'm with massimo on this one......I'm normally a purist, but have that latent part of me that has always toyed with doing a rat just to do one. Now THIS-------------looks like what I'd try to do. Yup, it's SO bad....BEYOND bad, that it's intriguing. I MAY just contemplate it even more

I'd also have to agree with Bob...... now really, do you think this guy would EVER let HIS bike be the one that breaks down? The rest of them would be UN-merciful!!!!! Nah, I bet it runs like a top.........and those back brakes are probably hopped up to 'compensate' for any frontal lobotomy (well, on the BIKE, I mean.....)

Dying laughing at the rat on top of the handlbars, and the 'airhorn'.

Obviously the guy put a lot of thought into it..... dvery square inch of it has something nasty on, in, or done, to it. I keep finding more the longer I stare at it........kind of like a dog returning to its own puke....

Maybe that bike should be called a X-Maxim (as in EX-Maxim) LOL

If I DO do that, I'd turn the front rim around, too, so the spokes swirl the opposite way

 

He overlooked one little detail though, the throttle grip is still shiny

 

That's to satisfy the harley-wannabe part of him. A small caveat........

... the indian face at the seat back
... looks like a beer tap at the top of the welded-chain 'backrest'
...nTHE ELECTRICAL OUTLET in place of the frame reflector!!!!!!
...nevery line a different color on the valve cover
... the gas mask
... flat-plate side cover
... the ubiquitous ammo-can
.... the hysterically broken headlight mount-- which, by the way, appears to have the mounting points on the sides of the lower triple clamp and that indicates that this is probably an XJ550 maxim. Thereby, that satisfies the chain-drive crowd........and the chain is probably painted some crazy color...let's say, uh, greasy rust color?!?!?!

--and I'm still studying it, as well as the other bikes.

SLKid, how do you know it was photoshopped?

Styling wise, it looks pretty much like a number of things I have seen people post here as projects ... the decorations are the only difference.

One does have to wonder about the lack of brake rotor on the front wheel ...
If it was photoshopped, does that mean that it a non-op bike or did someone just photoshop the decorations?

 

Looks like a lot of the Funky decor was photoshopped. I know, cause I was a graphic designer. Zoom in on some of the colors and take a look at the pixel resolution.
Who knows! She might be an operating motorcycle! Should ask the guy

 

I have no reason to doubt that it's a real bike. If the rotor was photoshoped out, for example, then caliper, lines, everything, would have to be cut, too. I can't find ANY thing there to indicate that anything has been digitally removed.
