Carb clinic in the NorthWest?

My carbs need experienced cleaners advice, but I feel alone in the big NW.
Anybody close enough to Vancouver, WA?

Guess I could've been paying more attention to these forums. I'm not really close and not really experienced but I did successfully dismantle, clean and rebuild my carbs over the winter and I am in Pullman, WA.

 

I'm near Portland...we should organize a meeting.

The nice weather is coming (slowly) and I want my XJ to look and run perfect!

I just got my bike back from the shop. After cleaning and rebuilding the carbs over winter the bike barely ran. I got a call today says "You were right. You did a great job on those carbs. All I did was sync'd them and it runs perfectly now." Boy was he right. It's like a whole new bike. Mileage should go up and the bike should look prettier now that gas isn't leaking out the sides of the carbs. Plus I shouldn't smell like gas all day at work... Well... At least not that kind of gas. :roll:

Just joined and would LOVE it if anyone could organize a carb clinic in the NorthWest!!

 

I, too, just joined and would love to meet some other XJers from Portland and/or participate in a carb clinic. Any other folks in PDX area feel the same?

 

Has anyone organized a carb clinic here yet? Im from Olympia and will be willing to ride anywhere in oregon or washington to attend.

If there is not one maybe we all can get together and find someone to host it that has a garage.... any takers?

Spoke with my local dealer today and he is considering hosting (place to meet) a carb clinic for us. Can we come up with a date (Sat hopefully) to meet in Port Townsend Wa so I can setup something ?

 

I too am in the Portland, OR area and would like to attend this NW carb event if possible.

 

I am in Vancouver, BC and I would cross the border for something like this. If the dates work I'm all in.

 

I would be up for the drive. If it's on a weekend after June 9th, 2008

It would make for an interesting day. I could use 4 and a half hours on the back of my bike. I'll bring a couple of sets of carbs with me, do the clinic, replace the ones in my bike, spend the night, and drive back the next day and test my workmanship on the long ride home.

Count me in!

I am currently trying to clean my carbs and synch them...lets see how that goes.

I have a garage, but it is not too big. Will think about it

 

I'm in Seattle. Swiped myself a sweet little sleeper of a 1980 Maxin 650 just a couple of days ago. I'd love to participate in a carb clinic in the NW, or any XJ oriented rides for that matter.
