Wanted - 82 XJ 750 touring package windshield

I believe what I have is the factory touring package on my 82 Maxim. The windshield is terrible - does anyone know if/where these are available?

Also, since I am asking, it really needs the plastic piece that holds the radio & speakers replaced, if anyone knows where I can find one of those.

Yamaha has not stocked a windshield for my 83 Seca Tour Pak. for many years. However, Gustaffson ??? Windshields out of Florida has both clear and light smoke for the tour pak. Not exactly the same top shape, but in my judgement better and more sporty. All the mounting holes and the bottom edge fit the fairing recess perfectly . Try them for you Maxim.

 

If you have the factory tour fairing. It will most likely be the X1 fairing. Pics can be seen in the following posts for comparison.

The windshield is available through Gustafssons Plastics in both stock 18.5", and 20.5" heights.

The X1 did not come with a radio installed. It is possible that you could have a different manufacture of fairing (vetter, wixom). The easy way to ID your fairing will be the wiring connector. Both Vetter, and Yamaha use a metal tag around this connector.

The boxes are the same as that set Ghost, but the fairing is a little different. I contacted Gustafsson Plastics after the previous post (Thanks 3510al!) and they would like to see pictures as well. I just need to get home during the daylight to snap a couple of pics! I will post here when I do.

I believe Yamaha called this their deluxe tour package in '82. Gustafsson wanted pictures too, so I quick rolled her out and snapped a few....
