I chopped my xj750 and am looking for ideas for a simple custom tail light; ways to mount, aftermarket lights of the right size to work with space requirements (over fender, under fender?) etc..

I figure many of you have already bobbed your bike and have figured out a tail light solution that works for you; why dont we get a list started of pics of some rear ends ( ) for inspiration, for anyone at this step in their build to get ideas from, now and in the future.
    What say you people?

(If there is already a post similar to this, forgive me, I was unable to find it)

I bobbed mine out over the winter and I used a 2 inch bobber taillight and plate mount from TC Brothers. Here's what it looks like on my bike.

I've got some bullet lights on mine. But it's not really a bobber.

You could probably find something that fits in the open frame tubes.

    I've got these for my plate: http://www.customdynamics.com/illuminat ... _Tag_Bolts

I got the ones that also light up with the brake/turn red in addition to the plate light.

Ive been trying to figure out the same thing. In MA i have to have the brake light mount in the center above the rear tire so those neat side mounts wont work for me.

6 inch oval led running / brake light meant for semi trailers would fit with a small metal plate near chopped zone. Chrome ring removable on this model.

I cut down a harley bobtail fender. I cut down the inner edge to match the shape of my 700 fender inner edge. That allowed me to use the bobtail rack, as well as the bobtail under-fender light. All I had to do was to ground the light right to the fender, as Harley does it that way. I'll try to get a pic into my gallery this weekend.

I like the simple, understated look that doesn't draw too much attention . . .

My tail piece is absent here but I used Harley turn signals minus the stems with red lenses that bolt through the frame
