Thanks for all the comments. The fury is cool.... not for me though. I'm too short and I feel like I need a spotter to make a u turn. It gives you the feeling that the head light is about ten feet from your head. Unbelievable tourqe though.

Great job, that bike looks sweet. Bobbed out but still has the original feel to it. Nice!

hey are those coils stock? if what im seeing are coils.... they are on either side of the neck by the tank.... if not what make are those? they could be a viable option for me, i have an x and am having doubts about mounting non stock coils....

 

Oh my GOSH! What is that thing??? To be honest I think it is sort of growing on me to say the least. I personally have never seen anything that even slightly looks like that for sure. What is it?? Did you build that yourself or what? If you did it looks like you did a great job but to look at it, it has be baffled to say the least. Yes... at one point, many dollars ago, it was a 49cc ruckus. Now it is a 7 foot long stroked 170cc monster! 8O :lol:

 

first off you have one clean looking xj and that honda ruckus build has to be one of the craziest things ive ever seen! second, how did you mount your rear fender on your xj after you chopped the frame? did you have to drill new holes in the frame?

 

nice looking 700. how do you like the forward controls?

I too have a bobbed 700 that I've been working on for awhile now. (aka I removed the rear fender and just haven't gotten the motivation to put the replacement shorter fender on.

 

Where did the seat come from? Did you just mod the original seat?

 

Id like a seat like this on but im not sure where to find one.

 

hey do you have the link to which specific handlebar you used? I am in need of another bar and yours looks close to stock but a little bit lower. Thats what i am looking for because i do not want to mess with the controls.

 

I've really got a jones to turn a Ruckus into a semi-recumbent, using cheap chinese ATV front end componants for a Hossack front end.

With minimal fronatal area and some streamlining, I bet it could easily top 120mpg, and the top speed would probably not be bad either. But the main fun would be how easily it would flick from side to side, with the C.O.G. being like 12" from the ground, and riding with your ass inches from pavement able to do finger drags at will.

To bad the used ones I see always seem to cost like $1000 or more.

RRCS, really a pretty good job, that the way I want my bike. Can you give me details on the seat?? How did you do it? I don't want to change the seat I just want the original and be able to lower it as much as I can. Thank you

 

It's a xj700n...not an X....anyway with the numbers that the label in the pipe you'll be able to figure even in what plant of Yamaha was built...

 

Surprisingly... I like the look of the "whipped together" sissy bar
