Ya stock option would get my vote its hard to beat the stock bike dont get me wrong I like the bobbers and the customs the guys do but for me I really like the reliability the stock bike offers I know i can get on my bike and go for as far as I want to go and not worry abought getting home.

Definitely stock, with some slight comfort / aesthetic mods. I don't want to stand out - don't want to be a cop magnet or a laughing stock.

I like the look of the classic cruiser but want it to be ME, in a nutshell.

You have implied that bobber or custom is less reliable than a stock bike?

My bike is not stock, and I will claim it is no less reliable than a stock bike, possibly more reliable.

You don't count. Sorry, just being honest; your skillset is WAY above the average neophyte DIY "modder."

I like "factory appearing" upgrades, especially in function, while still retaining a mostly stock appearance.

A good example would be converting a 750 Seca to a round Yamaha headlight; or me and others fitting "modern Yamaha pattern" turn signals instead of the boxy originals.

Plus mad sexy upgraded brakes and sticky tires.

As others have already said, you skipped "stock". Within stock there are other grouips: sports bikes and cruisers, for example. My true choice (having chosen custom on the survey because none of the others fit) would be essentially a stock cruiser with some perks: Windshield, highway bars, paniers and trunk, headlight and taillight modulators along with a set of additional running lights for the front. Maybe even one of those "halo" rings on the headlight ... has anyone tried one of those?
